Jerry Stackhouse To Knicks?

If New York's Donnie Walsh wants to swing a deal, while keeping his focus on
cap space in 2010, Jerry Stackhouse might be the only real possibility.
The Mavericks have reportedly given Stackhouse permission to seek a trade,
and the Knicks could offer the expiring contract of Malik Rose in return.
Stackhouse, who will make $7 million this season, will come off the books in
the summer of 2010. The only potential snag would be his lingering heel
injury.

Bobcats Close To Signing Juwan Howard

The Bobcats are reportedly close to signing veteran forward Juwan Howard, who
was released by the Nuggets last month.
Charlotte general manager Rod Higgins said he had been in discussions with
Howard's agent, David Falk, and expected a deal completed in next day or two.
"We're fortunate that we were able to get in the mix with Juwan," Higgins
said.

Agent: Dwight Will Be In Dunk Contest

Aaron Goodwin, the agent for Dwight Howard, says that the Magic center will
take part in February's slam dunk contest.
"He's going to be in it," Goodwin said. "He's got a few things he can bring
out [new dunks]. There's what we're calling 'The Orlando Two-Step.' "
Howard has been noncommittal about the event.
