When the Mavericks were weighing how much to offer Brandon Bass this
off-season, they drew their line at the salary earned by Houston's Carl
Landry, which is $3 million this season.
Hey, Landry is a better player at this point in his career than Bass is.
It's not the Mavericks' fault that Orlando overpaid for Bass (nearly $4.5 per
year).
Landry has 18 points and five rebounds tonight through three quarters. The
Mavericks, by the way, have taken an 81-76 lead.
