The Mavs are lobbying to get Jason Terry in the thing. The league has not set a time for the announcement. Maybe, just maybe, they're locked behind closed doors debating whether to put Terry in the competition. He hasn't had a great shooting year, but the Mavs have no All-Star weekend participants other than Dirk Nowitzki, who is a reserve on the West team. We know that Miami's Daequan Cook will be in it. He won it last year so automatically qualifies despite his 31.3-percent 3-point shooting. It's also been reported that Boston's Eddie House and Phoenix center Channing Frye are in. That would leave three spots available.
