He averaged 8.4 points, 2.3 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game in his second season. Jones was the 25th overall pick in last year's draft. The Mavs shelled out $3 million to the Memphis Grizzlies to move into the first round to select the South Florida guard, who averaged 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 7.5 minutes in 18 games as a rookie. He also made 10 appearances for the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League. Jones suffered a similar fracture to that of Beaubois late in the season, but made a full recovery.
