. Though Gary Payton, 37, won't make a final decision on retirement until the
summer, he said, ''I'd love to come back . . . especially playing for Pat
Riley. I love it here.'' Payton, on a one-year deal, called Riley the best
motivator he has played for and appreciates the coach ``is not going to kill
us. He's adjusted himself to 2006 instead of the 1980s.''
