Taking in Wednesday night's game: R&B singer Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child,
Nets part-owner and hip-hop artist Jay-Z ( girlfriend Beyonce' was notably
absent) and a slew of Dolphins players, including defensive tackle David Bowens
and running back Ronnie Brown.
Former Dolphins cornerback Sam Madison, who signed with the Giants in March,
also was in attendance, as were former Bulls forward Scottie Pippen, former
Heat forward Glen Rice, Memphis Grizzlies guard Damon Stoudamire and Hall of
Famer Bill Russell.
Jay-Z didn't seem too upset about the Nets being routed Wednesday night. ''It's
playoff basketball at it's best,'' he said. ``It's all about adjustments, and
hopefully we'll try to do what Miami did to us tonight.''
Jay-Z said he didn't plan to talk to the team afterward or before Game 3 on
Friday night in East Rutherford, N.J. ''I'll leave that to [coach] Lawrence
Frank,'' he said.
