Jermaine Knows Free Agent Value Will Be Tied To Playoff Success
The Heat are headed for the postseason as they look to maximize cap space
this summer.
Jermaine O'Neal is one of several players with expiring contracts that are a
part of Miami's regular rotation.
As the Heat attempt to re-sign Dwyane Wade, while also luring another
top-level star, the value of guys like O'Neal will depend on his performance
and the team's success in the playoffs.
"We're going to be judged by if we make the playoffs or if we don't, " O'Neal
said of maximizing free agent value. "Any teams that don't make the playoffs,
guys are not going to get looked at in a high-value type of way."
