After being traded by the New York Knicks, Camby made it clear that he wants to play for a championship contender at this stage in his career, and has no intention of being part of the Raptors organization. Several teams are rumored to be interested in Camby’s services, including the reigning NBA champions Miami Heat. Source told me Miami, Houston, Chicago and LAC are after Camby. Obviously, all four teams are title contenders and will thus interest Camby. If the Heat indeed want to sign the 39-year-old, it’s hard to imagine him turning the champs down. If Camby’s only goal is to win a championship, the Heat is naturally the most attractive destination. Camby was hurt last season but if he could stay healthy next year he could address one of Miami’s biggest weaknesses — rebounding.
