Nicky Hayden: I am quite impressed with it, this is the first time I have ridden it. It seems to be nearly ready, but obviously we still have a lot of work to do on it and to continue developing it, but it is a good start. If you ask me in a couple of weeks I will be able to tell you more. 第一次騎上它時(羞)看起來完成度是滿高的但其實還要發展滿多地方的但這也算是一個好的開始幾個星期後我會給你更多的心得 Q: How does it compare it to the 2007 bike? 跟07年的車相比勒? NH: It is very similar, there are no big differences. Perhaps the biggest is the use of pneumatic valves which are attracting all the attention. 沒有什麼太大的差別硬要說的話就是使用了氣動式進排氣閥門吧 I like the rider position, the handlebars and the ride which are all very similar to the 2007. I also like the weight transfer; it is not so sudden and not as aggressive as on the previous bike. 騎乘位置跟把手跟07年相差不大我很喜歡這點(怎麼跟前幾天講的不一樣...@@) 車輛荷重的轉移也不像07年那樣的突然急促了 Q: The Repsol Honda Team announced a few days ago that it would keep its ties with Michelin are you satisfied with this decision? Repsol Honda Team幾天前宣佈說將繼續使用輪胎人你滿不滿意這個決定? NH: Yes. They have a lot of work to do but that is because they can improve. 雖然他們還需要努力一些但是因為他們可以改進所以我還滿支持這個決定 They have not been at the level expected this year but I am dying to see the material that we are going to use next year. 輪胎人今年的表現並不符合我們的期望但我還是很渴望看看明年要用的輪胎是怎樣 Bridgestone has been ahead of us the whole year and I hope that next season we are stronger. The level this year was not good enough. 橋石今年一整年壓著我們打我當然希望明年我們能強一些今年輪胎的表現實在是不夠好 Q: Have you found something new in the tyre tests this time? 輪胎測試時有什麼新發現嘛? NH: It may be, but the most important thing right now is to get used to the bike before thinking about testing new tyres. 也許有一些吧但我覺得趕快熟悉新車比較重要 (暗示輪胎人還是不行?????) Q: How hard was it to lose the number one? 失掉1號車手的地位很痛苦吧? NH: It was painful, something hard to swallow, above all because of how I lost it. 痛到我難以下咽尤其是我怎麼輸掉的這部份 I would have preferred to have been fighting and to have been stronger, but we were unlucky the whole season. 我比較喜歡能在戰鬥中且比較強的時候輸掉我的1號車號但整賽季我們都很衰.... It was a hard blow, I am not going to lie, it was frustrating for the team because we had hopes of doing really well. We can do things much better. What can I do? Just get over it and go out to win next year. 我不想說謊但這真的是一個很大的打擊隊上對此也很沮喪我們本來有希望可以跑得更好的但是現在我也不能做什麼了只能在下個賽季努力去贏回來了 Q: Are you ready to fight for the number one again? 你準備好去為了1號車牌大戰一場了嘛? NH: Of course. This was a very tough year. I am not at all pleased. Next year I have to ride at a much higher level, hope to be stronger and to have much more fun. 當然今年是很艱難的一年我當然不會很滿意明年我必須要騎的更高一個層級希望能變更強也希望能更有樂趣 Q: What was the best moment in the 2007 season? 對你來說 07賽季最棒的時刻是那些? NH: I would say the pole in Portugal. It was a good reward after what happened there the year before. 葡萄牙站的竿位跟06年發生在這的是比起來這是一個很棒的補償 (XDDDD) And it was good for the team because I have confidence in them and they have confidence in me too. 這讓我跟車隊彼此間都很有信心 The podiums in Holland, Germany and Czech republic were also good moments. 還有在荷蘭德國捷克登上頒獎台也都是很美好的回億 Q: And the worst? 那最糟的時刻咧? NH: Not finishing at home, in Laguna Seca, that was very hard. 美國站時未能完賽這讓我非常難過 The truth is that there were many bad moments, this what top class racing is like. 老實說頂級賽事就是像這樣子有很多不好的時刻 But I realised that you have to learn from both the bad as well as the good and I am dying to get back on the top. 但我從中了解到你必須要從好事壞事中學習而且我很渴望重新回到頒獎台上 Q: No time to rest, the 2007 season just ended last Sunday and on Tuesday you were preparing for 2008. Is it too much? 07賽季上星期天才結束星期二你就在準備08賽季了一點休息時間也沒有這樣會不會很累? NH: No. It is not an easy job, but I know there are a lot worse around. 不會累這並不是一份輕鬆的工作但我知道還有更累人的 Being a Honda factory rider in MotoGP is a privilege, and I am not going to cry about the work I have. 當一個Honda廠隊的車手是一種殊榮而且我也不會去抱怨我的工作 We have travelled a lot in the last two months and in the next two, that is a bit of a drag, it is not all smiles. You are always moving from one place to another, but that goes with the pay cheque. I cannot say that it is too much. 這兩個月來我們一直從某個地方飛到下一個地方而且接下來兩個也將是一樣這對我來說是有點乏味但是我的薪水就是這樣賺來的我不能說這樣子很辛苦 (XD) Q: It seems that Honda is making a big effort to be competitive again, but now the bike is new does that mean that you start from zero again? Honda在讓車變得更有競爭力上花了很多力氣但你面對一台全新的車這代表你是否又要從頭開始了呢? NH: It is a completely different bike. I would say that in many aspects we are beginning from zero, but from a higher base level. 這是一量完全不同的車從很多方面來看我們的確去從零開始努力但確是從一個更高的基準上開始 Honda's commitment in the bad times encouraged me, when the results did not come. They did not give up and that shows what a great company it is. Honda在困境時努力的態度深深感動了我當預期的結果並不理想時他們並沒有放棄這表現了這家公司是多麼的偉大 Q: Tell us about your schedule until the end of the year? 說說看你在賽季結束後打算做些什麼事吧 NH: Really the season never ends. I am going to the Milan Motorbike show, then to New York for the launch of the MTV movie “Kentucky Kid” on TRL, an important programme in the USA to promote it. 賽季是不會結束的我會去米蘭摩托車展然後到紐約參加MTV製作的電影"Kentucky Kid"的首映 After that I will go straight to practice in Malaysia. 接下來是馬來西亞的測試 Then my elder brother gets married on Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I have to go to make sure he goes through with it. We are going to have a great time. 然後在感恩節的那個週末去參加我大哥的婚禮 Finally there is practice in Jerez and then in December everything will slow down, although I have some commitments with sponsors.
