早上時還在下雨 直到中午才有車手出去試車
Hayden先用07年的車 收集供引擎研發的對比資料後才換08年原型
在08原型車上 Hayden先專注於引擎動力曲線
搜集資料供11月27~29自Jerez的測試使用 到時會有動力上的升級
接下來還幫輪胎人試了幾組前胎
Hayden還在第11彎時 膝蓋撞到了逼隻眼鏡蛇 還好沒有摔
De Puniet在測試輪胎人與Ohlins的組合
同時也用同一套輪胎跑了20圈 以評估抓地力的持續性
Dovizioso繼續尋找適合他的基準設定
Nicky Hayden, Repsol Honda: 2m 03.093s - 65 laps.
"Overall I'm really pleased
with today, it's been very positive. We could have ended up with no track
time today after getting to the circuit and having to wait three hours for
the track to dry. In the end it was a good day.
等了三個小時跑道才乾
I went out on the 2007
machine first to confirm a few things and within a handful of laps I'd gone
one second faster that yesterday so that was pretty encouraging. Then I
devoted most of the afternoon to the 2008 machine. We played around with the
engine mapping and tried some front tyre options from Michelin.
下午用08年車試引擎動力曲線 還有輪胎人前胎
We're still
looking for a bit more power but it's not easy, the machine is brand new so
all the team is learning.
引擎還是有點不夠力
After the Valencia test last week we thought it
might be a tough ask to come to Sepang and do as well as we have today - we
thought we'd be further away, so to do the lap time this afternoon and match
the 2007 machine lap time is very positive.
原本以為瓦倫西亞測試後 在這邊的成績會更差
不過跟07年車的圈速比 倒是很令人振奮
And I smoked my first snake, the
poor thing. I was just heading through turn 11 when the snake sat up and I
saw it but I was committed on the apex of the corner. I picked the machine up
and tried to avoid him but caught him with my knee. I'm pretty sure it was a
cobra and I'm sorry for it."
還有 我第一次在賽道上撞到一隻蛇 XD
看到他時我已經切到彎頂點了 我馬上把車拉起來要閃過牠
可是還是來不及了
Randy De Puniet, LCR Honda: 2m 02.550s - 81 laps.
"I am very tired, I did 81
laps all in the heat of the afternoon. But it was positive, especially the
tyre testing with Michelin. I tried four different rear race tyres and found
one that was very good, very consistent, with many laps between 2'02.5 and
02.8.
總共跑了81圈真是累死我了
幫輪胎人試了幾組後胎 有一組很不錯
My best time today was set using the latest Michelin tyre, 0.5s faster
than yesterday.
我今天的最速圈是用輪胎人最新的一款胎 比我昨天快了0.5秒(!!!)
Although this is just the first day of testing the Ohlins
suspension on the Honda I have a good feeling and I'm we can find a faster
set-up.
也是第一天用Ohlins懸吊 感覺很棒
With Honda we also worked on the engine mapping, to reduce the level
of traction control and improve the braking stability. I'm very happy and the
main thing is that over many laps the Honda is physically easier and less
tiring to ride than my previous bike."
Honda方面也調整了引擎系統 把traction control調小些 還有煞車時的穩定性
騎RC212V比騎ZX-RR輕鬆多了
Andrea Dovizioso, JiR Scot Honda: 2m 03.591s - 57 laps.
"Another good day for
us. Once more I spent the day getting acquainted with the RC212V. We are
getting to know each other better, but it is still difficult adjusting from
the two-stroke 250. Engine braking is the big thing - you have it on a
four-stroke 800, but very little on a two-stroke 250! This affects my entry
into the corners, although I still feel fast in the middle of the corner. It
will all come with time!
還在適應800cc 4行程的引擎煞車 這在2行程250是機乎沒有的
這對我入彎影響很大 但我感覺在彎中RC212V還是比較快 從圈速上就能看出來
The team and I will look at the data tonight and see
where I can make up some more time and improve my performance. The middle and
exit of the corner is still easier on the MotoGP bike than on a 250 thanks to
the electronics. I've improved my feeling from the front-end of the Honda
after some setting changes and after testing some new Michelin tyres which is
very important."

但在太陽漏臉後 接近30度的氣彎馬上讓柏油地乾了

"Today was hard work and I am honestly quite tired after six hours of riding
in this heat!
在這麼的天氣騎了6個小時的車 累死了
We worked on a lot of new things with the setting and I feel
like I am making progress in some areas. I'm still having trouble under
braking though and I don't feel so comfortable with the front end; we made
some improvements today in this area but I know we have more to do and I
still have a lot to learn and some changes to make to my riding style.
煞車時感覺還是很不好 前輪也是差不多
今天雖然有點進步 但我要學的還很多
I was
able to do a few laps on the new 2008 bike today, which I enjoyed and, even
though it was only a few laps, my feeling about it is quite good. The most
important thing at the moment though is to improve the feeling with the front
end and so we will try again tomorrow! I hope that we have a completely dry
day so we can use all of the testing time and have a good last day."
試了幾圈新車 第一印象很不錯
但當務之急還是找到前輪的感覺

John Hopkins:
"The way that we're managing it is that we're going to start with the '07
bike - we're not bringing out a completely new '08 bike," Hopkins told
Crash.net. "What we're doing is to keep improving on what we have now and get
new parts throughout the winter. So we'll always have new parts to test, but
there won't be a completely different bike [launched next year] or anything
like that."
全新的車明年才會正式出廠
所以我們是用07年車加上新的套件 看看能改變些什麼
"The parts that I've received so far were completely new," Hopper revealed.
"I asked for some new clutch parts and similar things after riding the bike
for the first time at Valencia, just to help get into the corners better and
smoothen everything up a little. Those new parts were here [at Sepang] and
were exactly what I wanted, which is amazing in such a short amount of time."
在瓦倫西亞第一次騎過Kawasaki後 我提出一些新的離合器零件還有一些其他東西的要求

"The bikes are definitely night and day different, from Suzuki to Kawasaki,"
he declared. "There are some negatives and some positives with the Kawasaki,
but by the end of testing I'm quite confident that we'll turn the negatives
into positives.
Suzuki跟Kawasaki有很大的不同 Kawasaki有優點也有缺點
測試結束後 我有信心能讓缺點變優點
"The Kawasaki engine is definitely very fast," he continued. "The ultimate
goal is to make the power manageable. Right now we're getting a lot of
wheelies and - coming out of the corners - the traction control system does
work very, very well, but there are a lot of places where we can make the
power more manageable."
Kawasaki的引擎真的很有力 但目標是讓出力更易控制
現在出彎加速時還是很容易抓孤輪 但traction control效果非常好
"Last year was good, by far my best season yet," he said. "I got a couple of
podiums but I was a little disappointed not to get my first win. Over the
championship I made a few mistakes, crashed out in Jerez, and there were a
few places where I lost quite a lot of points, but I still managed to salvage
fourth place. Now it's a new step, new bike and hopefully we can take it to a
new all-time high next year.
去年是我生涯成積最好的一年 登上幾次頒獎台
但沒拿到首勝還是有些失望
雖然犯了一些錯誤 在Jerez摔了 還在其他地方丟了好些分數
但還是給我拿到年度第4
希望新的一步 新的車能讓我明年成為我最好的一年
"I'm enjoying it. The team's great, the atmosphere is good and they are
really dedicated towards improving the machine and taking everything forward.
We share the same vision," he concluded.
