David Vanterpool interviewed for the Philadelphia 76ers' head coach opening
on Monday and is a serious candidate, according to sources.
Vanterpool is receiving legitimate consideration.
Brett Brown and Jay Larranaga are among the coaches who have made strong
impressions in the process.
Vanterpool has made a strong impression in his first season as assistant
coach for the Portland Trail Blazers.
七六人是目前聯盟唯一還沒有總教練的球隊，為此球團也在積極的面談其他可能人選。
原本能拿到此工作呼聲最高的兩個人，
分別是馬刺助教Brett Brown與賽爾提克助教Jay Larranaga。
(後者也是愛爾蘭男籃國家隊總教練，因為他是美/愛雙重國籍)
但是在拓荒者只有一年助教經驗的David Vanterpool，
在昨天與七六人面試後，卻成了球團積極加入考慮的第三選項，
因為他在拓荒者的經驗不但讓人印象深刻，評價也頗為正面。
