Rockets report: Parsons, Beverley chosen as reps
The Rockets on Wednesday elected player representatives for the season,
choosing Chandler Parsons, with Pat Beverley as the alternate.
“It’s a role I look at as mine on the team,” Parsons said. “I am a
captain, I talk to the refs before the game, so I figured it would only
be right to be a player rep, and I feel like I have a good understanding
of what is going on in the league. I am really interested in stuff like
that, so I would like to be as involved as possible. I think I am a good
source to relay everything I find out.”
Casspi: ‘Time to regroup now’
Losses to Portland and Sacramento on their road trip last week taught the
Rockets some valuable lessons, forward Omri Casspi said.
“Obviously, we can lose to any team, and we can beat any team,” Casspi
said. “We have proven that.”
With that in mind, Casspi said a key for the Rockets to gain consistency
is in the team’s preparation. In games in which the Rockets fall behind,
they need to be able to get back in.
“We should prepare ourselves better for those games and find that rhythm.
Because those games, at the end of the day, are important for our
character,” Casspi said. “It’s time to regroup now.”
火箭在今天選出了本賽季的球員代表，前鋒錢德勒-帕森斯(Chandler Parsons)與
後衛派翠克-貝弗利(Patrick Beveley)當選，他倆會輪流作為球隊的球員代表。
“在球隊中，我就把我自己看作是一個這樣的角色，我是球隊的隊長，我會在賽前
跟裁判交流，所以我認為我成為球員代表是正確的。”
“我感覺我很理解聯盟現在發生的那些事情，我對這些事情非常感興趣，我想盡
可能地參與到其中，我認為我可以很好地傳達我得到的那些資訊。”錢德勒-帕森
斯說。
錢德勒-帕森斯本賽季場均可以貢獻17.1分3.8助攻5籃板，派翠克-貝弗利場均
可以貢獻9.7分2.3助攻3.9籃板。
