Joel Embiid had two screws inserted into the navicular bone of his right foot
on Friday, and the surgery "went very well."
Embiid裝了兩個螺絲在他的右腳舟骨上，而手術相當成功。
"The surgery went very well," said Embiid's agent Arn Tellem. "I’m confident
that after appropriate healing he will be able to return to NBA basketball."
Embiid's recovery period is expected to be 4-6 months, and it is possible
Embiid takes the same path that Blake Griffin and Nerlens Noel did, and ends
up sitting out the entire 2014-15 season.

The navicular bone is the same bone
that Yao Ming, Bill Walton and Zydrunas Ilgauskas battled with throughout
their careers. Embiid was already considered an injury risk prior to this
surgery, and this recent development only complicates matters. Embiid, once
considered to go no later than the No. 3 pick, could fall all the way to
Boston at No. 6, and perhaps even farther.
舟骨是和姚明、Bill Walton, Zydrunas Ilgauskas一樣的傷勢，他們職業生涯
也和此傷勢奮戰，Embiid原本就有被視為容易有受傷風險的，此一手術將會讓事情更複雜
