Otis Smith In Talks To Become Pistons' D-League Coach http://bit.ly/Va1Bou Via Marc Stein/ESPN Otis Smith is in talks with the Detroit Pistons about becoming head coach of their D-League franchise. 前魔術總管Otis Smith，最近正在與活塞隊討論接洽活塞旗下小聯盟球隊教練職務的可能。 Stan Van Gundy and Smith worked together with the Orlando Magic. 這場談判的發生其實也不意外，因為Smith先前就曾經在魔術與活塞現任教練Stan Van Gundy合作過。 Detroit's D-League franchise will play in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 活塞隊的小聯盟球隊「Grand Rapids Drive」，主場跟母隊一樣位於密西根州，而Grand Rapids(大急流城)正是密州第二大城市(第一大當然是底特律)。 Smith was named GM in Orlando in May 2006 and was ultimately promoted to president of basketball operations before leaving the franchise.
