Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz was tuned in to Game 1 of the Western Conference
Semifinals between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors.

From his observation, it seemed that the Warriors were allowed to
aggressively contest Harden when he shoots his dreaded 3-pointer — some of
them like the photo below was right on the edge of a clean play and a
whistle. This was not the case with the Jazz, according to Gobert.

For the past few seasons, Harden has received criticism for getting most of
the foul calls in his favor. The referees, too, have received the same amount
of criticism. But those who have criticized the referees have paid a fair
share amount of fines, too. And this is what Gobert’s teammate, Donovan
Mitchell, had in mind. He replied to Gobert, hinting that the NBA would
impose a fine on him soon:

Whether the NBA imposes a fine or not is still a matter of wait and see. But
the fact is that the Warriors may have gotten away from fouls in Game 1. This
will make Game 2 and the subsequent games much more interesting to watch.
