But today, they just matched last season's loss total, in less than half a seaso n. 2024-25 - 64-18 record 2025-26 - 21-18 record Injuries are always a convenient excuse, but there's clearly something more to i t than that. Donovan Mitchell is having the best season of his career statistically. But nobo dy else is. Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and others are all below their tradit ional standards. And losing glue guys like Ty Jerome, Caris LaVert, Georges Niang and Isaac Okoro has left a hole yet to be filled. Because of that, the Cavs have gone from the top seed last year to hoping to pla y-in territory, currently sitting in 8th. There's plenty of time left to turn things around, but will they? Can they?
