This story has been edited for length and clarity. 很多人問我優勢是什麼,我會說是自信。 When people ask me what gives me an edge, I say it's confidence. 但說到底,這份自信其實是訓練累積出來的。 but all of that confidence comes from training. 沒有燈光、沒有觀眾的時候,自信是在訓練館裡一點一滴建立起來的。 If there are no lights and no fans, my confidence is built in the gym. 我現在效力紐約尼克。 I'm a player on the New York Knicks. 我父親以前是球員也當過教練,這也影響我走上籃球這條路。 My father played and coached basketball, which inspired me to pursue the sport. 我高中在紐澤西聖約瑟高中拿過州冠軍。 When I was at St. Joseph High School in New Jersey, our team won a state championship in 2014. 大學時期我效力肯塔基大學。 In college, I played for the Kentucky Wildcats. 2015年我從灰狼展開NBA生涯。 I started my NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2015. 2024年加入尼克,已經快兩年了。 I joined the Knicks in 2024 and have played for them for almost two years. 我一直相信,只要夠努力並相信自己,就會有優勢。 Truly believing in my work and my abilities gives me an edge. 我一天的生活大概是這樣。 Here's what a typical day looks like for me. 我早上6點起床,吃的是比較清淡的流質早餐。 I wake up at 6 a.m. and have a light, liquid breakfast. 我其實不太吃傳統早餐,雖然大家都說早餐很重要。 I'm not a big breakfast guy, which is funny, because everyone says it's the most important meal of the day. 很多球員早上也不太吃東西,因為不想讓身體覺得太沉重。 A lot of guys I know don't like eating in the morning because we don't like to feel heavy. 起床後我會喝水、黑咖啡、MCT油,還有雞骨湯。 When I wake up, I have 16 ounces of water and then black coffee, MCT oil, and chicken bone broth. 早上7點開始訓練。 I go to practice at 7 a.m. 比賽日當然要補水,但其實休息日也一樣重要。 Of course, on game days... staying hydrated even on off-days is important. 水分補得越好,恢復速度就越快。 The more hydrated you are, the quicker the body recovers. 我一整天都在喝水,最喜歡的是氣泡水。 I drink water all day. Sparkling water is my favorite. 在訓練館裡,隨時都有人遞水或運動飲料給我們。 I'm always being handed Gatorade bottles and water. 球隊也會監測我們的水分狀態,確保維持在最佳水準。 We have our hydration tested. 我最喜歡的訓練是弓箭步。 Lunges are my favorite mobility workout. 高中時我最愛的是硬舉,因為可以訓練全身。 When I was in high school, my favorite compound exercise was the deadlift. 現在年紀大一點後,我更喜歡弓箭步、引體向上和高腳杯深蹲。 Now that I'm older, I prefer lunges, chin-ups, and goblet squats. 幾年前我曾經動過半月板手術,也讓我更了解身體恢復能力。 After dealing with a meniscus tear a few years ago... 不要小看腳趾的力量。 Don't underestimate your toes. 我們會做很多腳部訓練,包括按摩和滾球放鬆。 A lot of the players get work done on our feet. 我很重視腳趾力量的訓練。 I'm a believer in strengthening the toes. 因為跑動量大,腳常常會腫,所以我會吃消炎藥。 Our feet always swell up...
