Knicks, Marbury reportedly reach agreement
The New York Post is reporting that the Knicks and Stephon Marbury have
reached agreement on a buyout, and Marbury could be waived as soon as Tuesday
night.
Completing the buyout before March 1 makes Marbury eligible to join a team
for the postseason, and the Post reports that he's expected to sign with the
Celtics. Assuming Boston is his destination, Marbury's presence could put a
slight (but not major) dent in Rajon Rondo's fantasy value, while Marbury
would likely only be worth using in deeper leagues.
