Otto Porter Jr led the NBA in 3 point field goal percentage for most of the
year. His effective field goal percentage was 60.8%, better than Nikola
Jokic, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Karl-Anthony Towns, Kyle
Lowry, and Klay Thompson. That EFG % was so good in fact, that the only guys
ahead of him were pure centers, whose field goal percentages were buoyed by
lobs, and only attempting close in shots (DeAndre Jordan, Rudy Gobert, Clint
Capela, and Dwight Howard). His true shooting percentage was also in the top
10 in the league (Gobert, DeAndre, KD, Jokic, Capela, Korver, and Otto were
the top 7, in that order). In addition, Mr. Ottomatic had the second best
offensive rating in the league overall, better than Chris Paul, the
aforementioned KD, Lowry & Jokic, as well as Jimmy Butler, Mike Conley, and
Isaiah Thomas. Basically, he was a good shooter, and great in his role for
the Washington Wizards' standout season.
