Duke (13-1, 3-0 ACC) 目前在主場是35連勝，是除了Pittsburgh以外第二長的紀錄，上次Duke在Cameron Indoor Stadium輸球可以追朔到00~01球季了。而群藍魔們要在家裡面對Wake Forest的挑戰。 Duke後衛Chris Duhon表示 :" "It's going to be a great matchup, They're undefeated in the conference, we're undefeated in the conference. This is for first place right now. We're really excited, we know they're going to be ready, and we're going to be ready." 而Duhon在這場比賽將會面對到Wake Forest的新鮮人Chris Paul，目前平均12.8 分，5.8助攻。 Duke在禮拜四拿下了十連勝，以76-57的比數擊敗了NC State，Redick拿下了20 分，而Ewing拿下了18分，Duke全場沒有落後過，而最近十場比賽至少贏對手18 分。 Wake Forest的教練Skip Prosser表示 : "I think they are better this year, Duhon is playing better. Redick, (Shavlik) Randolph and Ewing are all a year older now. And even though Dahntay Jones was a great player, I feel Luol Deng gives them more options offensively."
