UConn has added the services of a high-scoring wing in the class of 2012.
Omar Calhoun, a 6-foot-3 guard from Christ the King in New York, verbally
committed to UConn Friday.
Calhoun is ranked by both Rivals.com and Scout.com among the top 10
shooting guards in the class of 2012.
Calhoun’s father, also named Omar, said his son was anxious to play for
a winning team in college and UConn’s recent title certainly helped
it in his recruitment.
“Definitely one of the biggest factors was the national championship,”
said by phone Friday morning.

根據Rivals.com與Scout.com賦予的SG等級，Calhoun可是2012年排行前10名的SG，
而他的父親也表示Calhoun非常渴望為今年的王者球隊效力，他要在加入這支球隊
時就幫助球隊繼續獲得冠軍。
Omar Calhoun決定加入康乃狄克大學的最大因素是這間大學在今年贏得了NCAA冠軍。
