This will be the third meeting between these two nations,
and Canada leads the series 2-0, despite the fact that the Netherlands has
had more success in Davis Cup in recent years. However, the last meeting
was 14 years ago, in 1990, and this will be the first World Group clash.
The red clay surface will not suit the visitors, but free of pressure they may
feel they can spring a surprise against a Dutch team that always receives
phenomenal support here in the Netherlands.
