After five weeks of exciting WTA Tour action in Australia and Asia,
the top stars of women's tennis are heading west this week to Europe
and the $585,000 Open Gaz de France in Paris.
World No.2 Kim Clijsters returns to the Tour this week as the top seed
in Paris and making her debut at the event. After a week of rest following
her impressive two-week run at the Australian Open, Clijsters will attempt to
win her first title of 2004 and 20th title of her career. Elena Dementieva,
Patty Schnyder and Jelena Dokic are also in action this week
