Clijsters last-minute decision on Fed Cup

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) -- Kim Clijsters will wait until Friday to decide whether she's recovered enough from a left wrist injury to play for Belgium against Croatia in the Fed Cup.
``My wrist is still a bit stiff,'' Clijsters said on her Web site Tuesday. ``I want to protect it as much as possible until Friday.''
The right-hander injured her left wrist last month and kept it in a brace until last weekend, when she played a charity match against her fiancee Lleyton Hewitt.
``It is not only about this weekend, but I also don't want to endanger the tournaments that come after it,'' Clijsters said.
She wants to be fully fit for next month's French Open, where she lost to Justine Henin-Hardenne in the final last year.
Belgium, the 2001 champion, already is without the top-ranked Henin-Hardenne for this weekend's matches against Croatia.
