Justine seeded 7 is in the star studded bottom half, which includes Maria Sharapova, and the Williams Sisters. Eleni Danilidou of Greece will be Justine's opening round opponent next week. The third grand slam of the year released the official draw today. The top half features the number 1 seed, and WTA ranked player Lindsay Davenport. Top contending players along side the American are Amelie Mauresmo, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Elena Dementieva Anastasia Myskina and Kim Clijsters. The bottom half of the draw features the defending champion Maria Sharapova, Serena and Venus Williams , Nadia Petrova, Mary Pierce and Justine. Justine's first round opponent will be a test for the newly re-crowned Roland Garros champion. She will face Eleni Danilidou of Greece who is currently ranked at number 73 in the WTA; but made the quarterfinal round last week Birmingham's grass event. The head-to-head is 1-1 for Justine and Danilidou. She lost 2nd set matchpoints to the Greek in Rosmalen, Netherlands back in 2002 during their three setter, and the match. Revenge was found on hardcourts for Justine with a simple 6-1, 6-1 victory in 2003 at San Diego. Justine will have to start out strong, if there are to be no unusual surprises. If Justine prevails, another meeting with Mary Pierce could be in the works; but this time in the 4th round. She may also cross paths with one of the members American tennis dynasty of the Williams Sisters in the quarterfinals. The semi-final could be fireworks again with a match-up with Maria Sharapova.
