Obivously, I find it difficult to cope with missing out on playing the Fed Cup
final in Charleroi, but I wish the four girls all the best and good luck.
For the time being I don't feel like watching any tennis at all. It still hurts
too much that I cannot play myself because of the wrist injury. I'll be
following the event remotely, on television. Justine, Kirsten, Caroline and
Leslie will be so much on focus anyway and it is very important to keep the
team atmosphere nice and quiet.
I believe Belgium holds a good chance to become world champion again. Justine
finally can play a home match, after some very tough weeks in the US, which
is always an advantage. I also think she has the power to do very well.
And Kirsten can beat a top player when she's at her best. Should they make it
past Italy and win the Fed Cup, I can still say I have contributed by playing
against Russia and the US.
I'll be passing by the doctor again next week and hope to start wrist
exercises in two weeks time. And that should enable me to be playing tennis
again within four or five weeks. And I would finally see everyone again in
Hasselt!
