Congratulations to Justine! 21-10-2003
I just finished a great doubles final: played really well! And yes, I enjoy it
as well. Pity that last Friday turned out the way it did. I felt that one on
Saturday.
Because we had to play a third set, it was already after midnight when we left
the court. I didn't sleep enough and I lacked a fresh feel. And then you pay
for it, like I did on Saturday, with all possible consequences. So my bad
experience has nothing to do with the fact that I am still playing ladies
doubles as well, but with the fact that there is only one court in Z槀ich, so
our match could only start late.
On Sunday I tried to follow the final between Justine and Dokic a bit. Justine
was simply the best in that match. Afterwards I went down to congratulate her
with both her victory and her number one spot. I know exactly how it feels, a
moment to cherish! Although you don't notice much about it.
On Sunday I have been emailing with Lleyton and watched some puppies on line,
for we would like to buy one for Australia. Drove to Luxemburg myself that
night. I don't drive that often, so I kind of take advantage of it, now I can.
I just been out for a run with Marc and must admit I feel fine. And now to the
physioterapist. Don't forget to watch the pictures of Elke and me in front of
Hampton Bays!
