您高中或大學是打Tight End的位置嗎?? 您擔心進入職業隊後沒有發揮空間嗎?? 如果您有上述問題，請電洽休士頓德州人隊高層.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 我強烈懷疑Rick Smith(德州人隊GM)&Kubiak(德州人隊教練)有嚴重的TE控。翻翻隊上現有的Roster，已經有4位TE了。(Owen Daniels，入選過Pro Bowl，去年季中受到Season- Ending Injury;Joel Dreessen(Former Broncos)，James Casey(09 RC)，Anthony Hill (09RC))。今年又選了兩個TE(Garrett Graham-4th 102pick;Dorin Dickerson-7th 227pick)，這樣還不足以說明嗎??隊上還有Eric Winston(先發RT)，Duane Brown，(先發LT，前年第一輪) ，Connor Barwin(DE，去年第二輪)。在高層思維忠，TE除了可以打TE，會接球的去打WR，壯一些的去打OL，速度快的可以去打 DE(Connor Barwin)，說不定還可以兼差打H-Back.....。噢，對了，今天又從自由球員市場簽下一位TE-Michael Gaines。所以隊上至少有10名是打過TE位置的，這位置的深度我敢說絕對是32隊之冠.....。 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 主要離隊球員有Dunta Robinson(CB)，Chester Pitts(G)。而今年FA至目前為止沒有太多補強動作。只有簽下Wade Smith(C)，Michael Gaines(TE)，Neil Rackers(K)人，對球隊體質的增強聊勝於無。選秀方面，今年德州人隊最需要補的位置是S，而其他需要補強的位置還有CB(先發CB Dunta Robinson跑去加盟Atlanta Falcons)，RB(去年跑陣聯盟第30名)，DL(DT需加強) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 今年Draft Secondary深度還不錯，尤其小弟最希望補強的位置:S，有不錯的Prospects: Eric Berry，Earl Thomas(小弟最哈的人選)，Taylor Mays等人。翻開隊上選秀史，自 2002年選秀以來，S的位置最高順位也只有第四輪。然而，上述幾個新人都沒選到，注定今年的後防又要開大洞了。(除非肯花大錢簽下Mike Brown，Darren Sharper， Tyrone Carter等FAs...) 而選秀前專家推測可能的人選如下: http://www.houstontexans.com/blog/index.asp?topic_id=221 Mock Draft Pick Paul Kuharsky (ESPN) – HoustonTexans.com Mock Draft Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State Rick Gosselin – Dallas Morning News C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson Pete Prisco – CBS Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State Jarrett Bell – USA Today Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State Charley Casserly – CBS Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State Rob Rang – NFLDraftScout.com Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State Evan Silva – PFT/NBC Sports Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State 很明顯一面倒傾向Ryan Mathews，然而，在Chargers向上交易獲得選秀權攔走之後，明顯看出德州人隊高層亂了套，當時還可以選的有cornerbacks (Kyle Wilson, Devin McCourty and Kareem Jackson)&Defensive tackle Dan Williams。 KW的評價明顯稍優於Kareem Jackson，然而高層卻選擇可能是擁有今年選秀角衛中最好的 pure cover corner能力，以及學過Nick Saban超複雜防守陣勢的KJ，這選擇也在Espn 德州人隊留言板引起不小的討論。而第二輪也頗意外，和維京人隊向下交易選秀權，維京人隊用這選秀權選了Stanford大學的RB Gerhart，德州人隊則選了可能是3rd- Round Prospect的Tate，又一次的Over debate，致能看往後的養成能力還評斷這次的選秀。不過，由於沒有捕到S，我只給D的評價。 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 今年選秀結果如下(資料來自於NFL官方網站) Round 1, Pick 20 (20) Kareem Jackson CB 5'10" 196 Alabama Grade8.3 Pick Analysis: The Texans surprisingly take Kareem Jackson over Kyle Wilson as their franchise cornerback. The former Alabama standout has been flying up the charts in recent weeks, and his versatile skill set is a nice fit in the Texans' scheme. While the argument will be made that Wilson is more talented than Jackson, it is hard to argue against taking a solid player well groomed in a pro-style defensive system. Round 2, Pick 26 (58) Ben Tate RB 5'11" 220 Auburn Grade6.9 (From Cardinals through Patriots) Pick Analysis: The Texans add a hard-nosed runner with exceptional skills. Tate is ideally suited to play in Gary Kubiak's zone-based running game. As a "one-cut" back with good speed and power, he excels at running between the tackles and is an aggressive finisher. With Steve Slaton unable to carry the load, Tate could be a vital contributor in the Texans' running game this season. Round 3, Pick 17 (81) Earl Mitchell DT 6'3" 215 Arizona Grade5.9 Pick Analysis: The Texans pick up an unheralded interior defender in Earl Mitchell. The Arizona standout is a high-motor player with a quick first step. Though he lacks ideal size for the position, his athleticism and toughness give him a chance to make an impact as a rotational player for the Texans. Round 4, Pick 4 (102) Darryl Sharpton LB 5'11" 236 Miami Grade5.5 (From Chiefs) Pick Analysis: The Texans add an instinctive linebacker with the selection of Darryl Sharpton. As a hard-hitting plugger with good awareness, he should be a solid backup early in his career, who makes most of his contributions on special teams. Round 4, Pick 20 (118) Garrett Graham TE 6'3" 243 Wisconsin Grade5.9 Pick Analysis: The Texans select Garrett Graham to serve as insurance against Owen Daniels' health situation. Graham is an athletic pass catcher with outstanding hands, and his ability to make big catches in the red zone will help the Texans remain among the league's most explosive offenses. Round 5, Pick 13 (144) Sherrick McManis CB 5'11" 195 Northwestern Grade3.0 (From Panthers through Chiefs) Round 6, Pick 18 (187) Shelley Smith OG 6'3" 300 Colorado State Grade4.4 Pick Analysis: The Texans add a tough interior blocker to their rotation with the selection of Shelley Smith. As a gritty player with sneaky athleticism, Smith has the skills to develop into a competitive player at the position. He will have to earn playing time as a backup. Round 6, Pick 28 (197) Trindon Holliday KR 5'5" 166 LSU Grade2.0 (From Chargers) Pick Analysis: Holliday is really an interesting pick for the Texans. He was one of the smallest players in college football, but arguably the fastest. His primary use will be on special teams as a return man. But, over time, he could develop into a slot receiver and someone you try and get the ball to on reverses and bubble screens. He's a playmaker in space. Round 7, Pick 20 (227) Dorin Dickerson TE 6'4" 226 Pittsburgh Grade7.7 Pick Analysis: Dickerson is an undersized H-back with explosive skills. He caught 49 passes for Pittsburgh last season, 10 of which went for TDs. It is hard to understand why he fell all the way to the seventh round.
