Broncos' Chris Harris: 'We deserve more credit'
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Every year, one Super Bowl team plays up the "no respect"
card. Sometimes both teams try to pull it off.
"We beat the champs twice," cornerback Chris Harris said about the team's
wins against New England while speaking to reporters Monday at Super Bowl
Opening Night. "Nobody cared, I guess. ... I do feel like we deserve more
credit."
The Broncos' linebackers can't help but feel a little overshadowed. Von
Miller and DeMarcus Ware are the stars of the defense, and Carolina's
linebackers group -- led by Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis -- has gotten most
of the attention.
"That's who they are talking about," Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall
said. "We just gotta keep showing every Sunday and they'll be talking about
us, too."
Then again, Marshall can't blame everyone for being wowed by Carolina's star
power.
"I personally think Luke Kuechly is the best linebacker in the league," he
said.
