D.J. Kennedy Anaheim D.J. has mentioned four of the very best young pitchers in the big leagues. Cain consistently has spun quality starts since breaking into the majors two years ago at age 20. Lincecum and Chamberlain had the best 1-2 combination of pitches in the 2006 draft and needed precious little minor league time before enjoying immediate success in the bigs. I'll take the San Francisco duo, because Cain has proven more in the majors more quickly than Hughes, and because Lincecum's long-term health is a safer bet than Chamberlain's.
