我想大家都知道 Peter Abraham 我還滿喜歡看他的note，畢竟他是隨隊記者，某些記載頗為貼近球員，雖然有時可能有點酸，或有點鄉愿。但也常有些趣味這篇是9.12的，以下略翻大意。一，Ross Ohlendorf 是本季洋基派上場的第28位投手，平了2005年的隊史記錄。他是本季第10位初登板的投手。他救援一局，三上三下，用一個漂亮的滑球K掉 Overbay。一個半月前， Ohlendorf才轉任牛棚，之前他常丟的是曲球，現在他只投快速球、滑球及變速球。也常投他的四縫線快速球。他說：「當你從牛棚出來，你會想要更積極面對打者，投個讓打者揮空的好球。」二，Ohlendorf 上來你知道誰最高興嗎？嘿嘿，答案是Joba。為什麼捏？因為現在隊上最菜的菜鳥終於不是Joba他了！Joba興高采烈地把裝滿糖果、口香糖、煙草的粉紅色可愛背包移交給 Ohlendorf，現在可愛的粉紅背包換新菜鳥來背囉。雖然Joba才21歲，而Ross已25歲，但不用在意啦～ Ross看起來是一點都不在意。在經歷四年小聯盟生涯，他成了洋基的一員。「得到這機會超讚的。」他說：「我還蠻喜歡牛棚，感覺我的手臂投救援，投得還不錯，或許這是我應該擔任的角色喔。」三，場面話魔人托瑞爺前幾天就說了好幾次，他很有興趣知道Ohlendorf是怎樣的球員。或許球季結束前，可以看到在某一兩次緊張狀態下，說不定會讓Ross上場測試一下。「我跟他說就是攻擊好球帶，嘿，他做到了。」投教Gator 這麼說：「這很讚，像我們有些人就是講不聽。」說得兩撇鬍子呼呼地往上飄哩。 Ross Ohlendorf became the 28th pitcher the Yankees have used this season, tying a team record set in 2005. He is the 10th to make his debut. Whoever imagined that would happen this season? He retired the side in order, fanning Lyle Overbay with a nasty slider. Ohlendorf was converted to the bullpen about a month and a half ago. He dropped his curveball then and now throws only a fastball, slider and change. He’s also throwing his four-seam fastball more often. “It’s a swing-and-miss pitch and you want to be aggressive when you come out of the bullpen,” he said. Nobody was happier to see Ohlendorf than Joba Chamberlain. As the pitcher with the least service time, Joba had been required to haul the pink Yankees backpack full of candy, gum and tobacco to the bullpen before games. Now that duty falls to Ohlendorf. Never mind that Joba is 21 and Ross is 25. Ohlendorf didn’t seem to mind. After four years in the minors, he was with the Yankees. “This is great, getting this chance,” he said. “I like coming out of the bullpen. My arm has responded pretty well. Maybe this is what my role should be.” Joe Torre has said several times in the last few days how “interesting” Ohlendorf is. You have to wonder if they’ll try him in a pressure situation or two before the season is over. “I told him to pound the strike zone and he did that,” Ron Guidry told me. “That was good.
