Hal Steinbrenner Is Named the Yankees’ Boss By JACK CURRY Published: November 20, 2008 Hal Steinbrenner是洋基新老闆.. Hal Steinbrenner, the younger and more reserved of the Steinbrenner sons, was given control of the Yankees on Thursday in a unanimous vote by Major League Baseball owners. George Steinbrenner, the Yankees’ principal owner, asked Commissioner Bud Selig to pursue the change last month. The statement said that Hal was given control because he is responsible for the business and financial side of the Yankees. Hank oversees baseball operations. George will continue as the chairman. Hal and Hank will remain co-chairmen.
