In other words, there may not be much money left for Sabathia – certainly not $23 million per season, and probably no more than a $90 million guarantee. Outside of a five-year, $100 million offer from the Brewers, it's not believed Sabathia has another offer. The Angels are concentrating on re-signing Teixeira, and the Giants aren't interested in a big-ticket item such as Sabathia.
