The night Coke gave me the jitters Coke今晚嚇死我了!!!!!!!!!!! Just when it looked like the Yankees would have a boring, run-of-the-mill win over the Twins, I looked to the bullpen and noticed that that Mariano Rivera wasn’t warming up for the ninth inning. 當我們準備迎接勝利的時候~ 我驚覺.....Mo並沒有在做熱身!!!! 這~~~~怎麼會這樣呢!!! Having not been at the ballpark all weekend, I didn’t understand why the closer wasn’t out there getting loose, but then I looked it up and saw that he had pitched in three of the past four games, throwing three innings in the previous two games. It made much more sense, but now I started to worry about my game story, which was already up against a tight deadline. 原來過去的四場比賽,他出賽了三場,在前2戰共投了三局. 這似乎可以理解為什麼今天不讓他上場了. 但.....我開始擔心,今天是不是會有劇場的出現了 When Rivera comes in with a two-run lead, the Yankees are typically in good shape. Once or twice a year, he blows it and forces you to rewrite everything (and inevitably start the “Is Mariano done?” conversation), but most nights, Rivera delivers the goods. 每當洋基領先2分~Mo的出現總是可以把勝利守住雖然每年總是會有幾場會砸鍋~ 不過大部份的出賽~他總是可以把勝利留下~~~~~ Now I was relying on Phil Coke? Yeesh. 今天...只能靠Coke了~~~~~ ( 抖抖~.... ) Coke had just struck out Justin Morneau, who was already 4-for-4 in the game, the young lefty pumping his fist with Joba-like enthusiasm after recording what would surely be the biggest out of the night.
