Yankees Target Martin, Slot Posada As DH

The Yankees passed on a trade for Dodgers catcher Russell Martin this week,
but he remains on their minds.
Los Angeles didn't offer Martin a contract on Thursday, making him a free
agent and keeping alive the chance that he would land in the Bronx.
The Yankees could offer him a contract or an invitation to spring training if
he doesn't sign with one of five other teams that are reportedly interested.
