[洋基] Looking into LHP Pedro Feliciano
The Yankees have been interested in adding a left handed reliever this
offseason and so far they have been focused on other things and we haven't
heard much about that search, but today we did get this little tidbit.
Feliciano, 34, is a left handed reliever who has been very tough on lefties
throughout his career holding them to a .214. He had a 119 ERA+ in 2010 and
over the past three years combined. One red flag is that he's lead the
league in games pitched three years in a row.
He's a type-B free agent so the Yankees wouldn't have to give up a draft
pick to sign him, but it's unclear if they would be interested in giving him
a multi-year contract that it is likely to take to land him. Damaso Marte,
who is injured and might not pitch at all in 2011, is under contract for the
next year and Boone Logan is controlled by the Yankees until 2013.
This is very preliminary stuff right now. It's likely that we'll hear a lot
more about this before anything happens. We'll keep you updated.
