[洋基] Yankees get out of deal with Vizcaino
Right-handed pitcher Luis Vizcaino, who signed a Minor League deal with the
Yankees last December, sustained an injury to his Achilles which allowed the
Yankees to get out of their deal with the pitcher, Joel Sherman of the New York
Post reports.
Vizcaino was throwing consistently in the mid-90’s during the Winter League,
and that’s why the Yankees saw him as a viable candidate to make the team.
Late in the Winter League season he injured his Achilles and he’s is now
likely to not pitch this year.
The 36-year old last played in the Majors in 2009 with the Indians and Cubs.
He was 1-3 with a 4.11 ERA and 12 SO in 15.1 innings.
