1.Chris Stewart 照了MRI沒事，不過要休息幾天。在此之前 Austin Romine 會是先發捕手。 2.Travis Hafner 今天沒先發是因為右肩肌腱有點發炎，但有必要的話還是會以PH的方式上場。 3.Mark Teixeira 回來的時候，就是 Ben Francisco 說掰掰的時候。 4.Andy Pettitte 沒有更進一步的消息，總之他就是背部有點痙攣。如果他必須跳過下一次先發的話，就會被放到DL名單。 5.其他不重要。 I don’t know exactly what’s going on, but the announcement was just made that Brian Cashman will be speaking to the media in 10 minutes. I’m cutting the notes short to find out what’s going on, but here’s what I’ve written so far. I’ll be back… ‧ Chris Stewart’s MRI came back clean, so the expectation is that he will only have to miss a few days. He said that he can catch in an emergency, but Austin Romine will be the starter for the time being. As Sweeny Murti reported, Bobby Wilson was not in the Triple-A lineup today, which probably indicates that he may be heading this way. Joe Girardi said that Alberto Gonzalez will serve as the emergency catcher. ‧ Travis Hafner isn’t in the lineup today against Blue Jays’ left-hander Mark Buehrle, but he sounds confident that he can pinch-hit if needed. He took batting practice, and Girardi said that he wanted to make sure that he could swing at 100 percent with no issues. I watched him take BP, and he seemed to get through it fine. Hafner has been dealing with tendinitis in his right shoulder and received a cortisone injection on Tuesday. ‧ Ben Francisco is DHing tonight against Buehrle, despite his .188 career average (3-for-16) against the southpaw. The dude is hitting just .125 on season, albeit in limited playing time. I have a feeling that his days in pinstripes may be numbered whenever Mark Teixeira is ready to return. The obvious candidate to be released should be Lyle Overbay (no real need for two first baseman), but he’s been a valuable commodity, while Francisco has been a bit of a black hole. ‧ No real update on Andy Pettitte yet. He left last night’s game with back spasms, but said the balky back had calmed down after the game. Girardi said that no decision has been made yet, but if he’s not able to make his next start, they will likely place him on the DL. As Girardi said last night, at Pettitte’s age, they expect the occasional bump in the road, and the Yankees have proven time and time again that they’d rather be cautious in these situations. Realistically, the DL would only have to cost him one start, anyway. ‧ David Adams is in the lineup again today after picking up his first RBI last night. His right-handed bat could prove to be valuable, as Girardi has wedged him in between lefties Overbay and Ichiro in the seven-hole. He was hitting .316 with a .897 OPS in 27 games in Scranton this season, and also hit over .300 last year with Trenton. His bat seems to have more big-league potential than some other Yankee infield call-ups that we’ve seen in recent years (see: Ramiro Pena). ‧ While Francisco has poor numbers off of Buehrle, quite a few of the Yankees in today’s lineup have had some notable success. Brett Gardner has a career .500 average against him (6-for-12), Vernon Well is hitting .480 (24-for-50), Ichiro is hitting .426 (23-for-54) and Robinson Cano has an even .400 batting average (8-for-20) with three homers.
