XD) It is a tradition in Spain and South American countries to eat 12 grapes at midnight, each of them representing a month in the New Year. One has to make a wish as you eat every grape. "This year I will be spending it on a plane. Previously I had spent the night in India but since we are starting the season a bit later than usual, I will have to spend it on an airplane," Nadal was quoted saying before his departure. 這是西班牙跟南美人的傳統，在半夜時吃12顆葡萄，每一個葡萄都代表著未來新年的每月。當你每吃一個葡萄時，就必須許下一個願望。"今年我將會在飛機上過新年。之前我都是在印度過新年，但是2009年的賽季比以往要晚一點，我將會在飛機上過年。"豆豆在他起飛前這樣說。 "Not to worry though, at least I'm bringing some grapes for the trip. I've got some here for me and my team and let's hope everything else goes fine."
