83. Mike Hinckley, LHP, Nationals, Age: 22
There's not much to like about the Nationals' farm system, but Hinckley is
the lone exception, at least until Clint Everts is healthy again. Hinckley,
a third-rounder in 2001, was a capable pitcher in the lower rungs of the
system, but something clicked after a promotion to the Florida State League
in 2003. Since then, he's fanned 154 and walked only 42 in 181 innings. He
sports a plus fastball and curve and a changeup that's rapidly improving.
Expect him to be in D.C. before September.
