為此選秀順位Bowden還特別打通電話給球探長Dana Brown
Bowden是這樣說的:"You made a mistake when you drafted Desmond."
Brown asked: "Why?"
Bowden replied: "Because you took him in the third round instead of
the first round."
Spring Training到今天為止打擊率3成33,1支全壘打
他的守備讓Bowden聯想到Jeter花俏的守備動作
連Robby都這樣稱讚他
"I'm telling you: His instincts are better than some guys I've seen
play the game for 20 years." "He doesn't seem overwhelmed by the
situation. He doesn't panic out there. . . . And when you ask him a
question, he gives you a very quick, sound answer. He doesn't stare
at you like, 'Let me think about that. I don't have an answer for you."
這傢伙已經被視為球隊未來的藍圖之一,如果Guzman打擊還是這樣鳥鳥的
3年之後Desmond會取而代之
