If Hudson signs elsewhere, the team's Plan B options at 2B/SS are decidedly underwhelming. The Nats want to go to Florida with more than Ian Desmond, Cristian Guzman, Alberto Gonzalez and Eric Bruntlett among their middle infielders, and they might explore a trade.
