[外電] Nets Lose Harris, but Still Burn Clippers
The Nets were able to withstand the absence of Devin Harris and shoot a
scorching 60 percent from the field to start their trip off with a 110-96 win
over the Clippers on Monday night. The victory broke a 23-game road losing
streak against the Western Conference.
The Nets were up 11 when Harris was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul on Blake
Griffin midway through the second quarter, and they took that same lead into
the half. The Clippers cut it down to four midway through the third quarter
and down to three midway through the fourth, but the Nets got big baskets
whenever they needed them and never gave L.A. a chance to tie.
The Nets allowed the Clippers to grab 17 offensive rebounds and sent L.A. to
the line 38 times, but they held them to just 40 percent shooting from the
field and more than made up for it with their offense. Brook Lopez led the
way with 24 points on 10-for-16 shooting. He had just three rebounds, but did
block three shots. Travis Outlaw scored 18 of his 23 points in the first half.
Jordan Farmar made up for Harris' absence by posting 15 points and a
career-high 12 assists in 35 minutes. Kris Humphries outplayed Griffin,
recording his second double-double in three games. And Ben Uzoh made his NBA
debut and was solid in six minutes of action.
