Holders Tottenham face Newcastle
Carling Cup holders Tottenham have been handed a tough draw away to
Newcastle in the third round.
Last season's runners-up Chelsea will travel to FA Cup winners Portsmouth,
while Manchester United face an all-Premier League tie with Middlesbrough.
Tottenham face a difficult task if they are to repeat their triumph in
the competition, with their tie being one of four all-Premier League ties.
Spurs, who beat Chelsea 2-1 in the final at Wembley, have lost their last
five games against Newcastle.
