A year-long loan deal was agreed last week and the move has been tied up on transfer deadline day. Gonzalez, who is also known as Nacho, recently joined Valencia on a four-year deal but has been given the opportunity to go out on loan as the La Liga club currently has a wealth of midfield options. The 26-year-old has made 21 international appearances for Uruguay and spent the last six months on loan at Monaco from Uruguayan club Danubio. "Nacho Gonzalez has become a new player at Valencia for the next four seasons," read a statement on the club's official website. "The Uruguay international, who spent the last few seasons at Danubio and Monaco, will play on loan this season at the English side Newcastle."
