Duffer Wins Gaffer Praise

Alan Shearer has praised the efforts of stand-in left-back Damien Duff as
the Irishman continues to lend his support to United's defensive cause in the
absence of Jose Enrique.
The Dubliner deputised for the injured Spaniard at Liverpool on Sunday
having also slotted in at the same position during periods in the previous
two matches.
And gaffer Shearer said: "I thought Damien Duff did very well again at
left-back.
"He's covering in a position which is not his natural one but he was very
good.
"Of course you lose something going forward but Damien is our best option
at left-back with Jose Enrique out."
