Carroll/Krul close to committing
"This is where I'm from and Newcastle are the only team for me."
The words of Newcastle striker Andy Carroll, as reported in the press over
the weekend. Talks over a new four year deal for Carroll are ongoing, with
a clutch of other Premier League clubs alleged to be watching developments.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Tim Krul is reported to have agreed a new four year
contract, as the 22 year-old Dutchman begins the final year of his current
deal.
