I have confidence and I feel I will do very good things." 「我感覺一切良好，我重拾了信心、而且可以重新再進行一些美妙的表演了。」關於這場對戰森林的比賽.. "I counted the hours before kick-off on Wednesday," 「週三（對森林）開賽之前我就一直在盯著那慢吞吞的錶。」 "I really endured a difficult year last year and being back on the pitch is a wonderful feeling. I missed competition so much. I am living again! 「我去年真的經歷了幾乎令人昏厥的一整年，能重新站上球場真的是太棒了。」「我太懷念比賽的感覺了，一上場，我又活了過來！」 "I have no more pain, absolutely nothing. 「我早就不痛了，真－－的。」 "Now it is up to the coach to make his choices. "One year ago my leg was shattered in two places, one bit pointing this way, the other pointing in the wrong direction. But now it has finally healed, and it is straight again." 「約莫是一年前，我的腿骨（因為某個雜碎而）斷成兩截。」「（用手比）其中一段是朝向這裡，另一段則大概是往另外一個方向，不過今天它們又團結在一起，我總算康復了。」 "It took a year and now it is right. It is a massive relief. It was a long process and a lot of hard work involved. 「花了快12個月治療，現在沒問題了，也沒有後遺症。這讓我鬆了很大一口氣。」「這是一段很漫長、很辛苦的復健過程。」 "It has been a difficult year since I broke my leg. It has been a long, hard time for me physically and mentally. I am delighted now to have got back on the pitch and played a game. 「斷腿之後的這一年如地獄般難過。」「這段時間很長，讓我在身心上都非常難受。我很開心終於能回到場上。」 "It was 11 months. I was sad and very frustrated at times, but I had to keep calm. I wanted the whole process to hurry up. I wanted it to be ready immediately." 「（正確來說）應該是11個月吧。我很沮喪和鬱卒，不過還是得保持冷靜。」「我希望整個康復的過程能夠無限加速，我想早日回到競技狀態，越快越好。」對於自己將來在紐卡的定位，阿發這樣說： "It is important for me to take my responsibilities as a play-maker for this team, someone who is creative. I was surprised how kind they were, and thoughtful, after all I had only played three games for the club. 「經由這次意外之後，我和球迷之間的關係變得十分獨特。」「我對於他們的善意感到很驚訝、也很感動－－至今我才幫紐卡踢了三場球而已。」 "They are always asking how I am.
