[外電] Orioles sign P Eaton to minor league deal
FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (Ticker)—The Baltimore Orioles on Sunday signed
pitcher Adam Eaton to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring
training.
Eaton's signing came two days after he was released by the Philadelphia
Phillies.
Eaton, 31, was a major disappointment in Philadelphia after signing a
three-year, $24.5 million contract with the Phillies prior to the 2007 season.
The righthander went 14-18 with a 6.10 ERA in his two disastrous campaigns with
Philadelphia.
