The Orlando Magic open training camp Oct. 5, with the first of seven
preseason games coming a week later.

Former Magic superstar Tracy McGrady returns to Orlando for a preseason
game Oct. 23. McGrady, a two-time scoring champion, was traded to the
Houston Rockets in June because Orlando's management was upset over his
lack of leadership during Orlando's disastrous 61-loss season.

Orlando plays four exhibition games at home, beginning with its opener
against Memphis on Oct. 12.
The Magic have three road games, and play the Miami Heat and Shaquille
O'Neal in Tampa on Oct. 15.

The site for training camp has not been determined.
The Magic open their regular season Nov. 3 at home against Milwaukee.
